Osteopathy

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is the practice of the philosophy that a person's health is dependant upon the correct structure of their body. An Osteopaths work is to correct the structure to improve health and/or relieve pain.
There are many ways that we achieve the above; the most common method is through manipulation, massage and exercises.  Another way of treating people is to use very gentle techniques of self balancing; people hardly know anything has happened until they get off the couch! This is sometime called Cranial Osteopathy or Cranial Sacral Osteopathy; we can treat the same problems as through manipulation but there is an emphasis put on overall health of the structure and we also treat babies and small children using these methods.
We commonly see people with back pain & joint pains of all kind, headaches, migraines, chronic fatigue syndromes, digestive complaints and general poor health. We also see a lot of children and babies with colic, sleep problems, glue ear, children with learning/communication difficulties or cerebral palsy.
